This position will join our India team, operating out of our Bangalore office where we have nearly 100 team members.

Role Description:

The IT Specialist Engineer is integral to the daily technical operations of the company, encompassing employee onboarding, offboarding, and the resolution of issues related to software, hardware, and overall system functionality. This position is dedicated to the development and maintenance of internal systems, as well as the upkeep of pertinent documentation. As a proactive member of the internal support team, the ideal candidate will exhibit meticulous attention to detail, possess an aptitude for autonomous learning and problem-solving, and demonstrate effective communication skills within a diverse, international corporate environment.

 Key Duties Responsibilities:

 As an IT Specialist Engineer, Individuals are expected to fulfil the following responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Set up accounts and workstations.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
  • Provisioning and Deprovisioning of user accounts
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  • Troubleshoot general software and hardware issues (Windows, macOS, MS Suite, etc.)
  • Maintain company hardware inventory and asset labeling.
  • Review diagnostics, assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
  • Troubleshoot and manage user accounts, access, client software, and printer.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of systems and processes.
  • Manage Access Controls and Identity management in applications such as MS O365.
  • Maintain Inventory of Corp Applications.
  • Manage Access Management of client hardware such as laptops and desktops.
  • Physical security management such as key fobs,
  • Provide Internal Support for employees.
  • Any other work/responsibility as assigned by the manager.

Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience, with professional experience being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in administering user accounts using Active Directory or equivalent systems.
  • Practical experience with Azure and Microsoft O365.
  • Sharp attention to detail coupled with superior problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Competence in maintaining comprehensive documentation and records for all systems and processes.
  • Proactive in taking initiative, exercising sound judgment, and displaying the ability to independently structure work and remain focused.
  • Flexibility and quick adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows and Linux system management.
  • Familiarity with both macOS and Windows operating systems.
  • A robust understanding of security protocols.
  • Experience in managing virtual environments such as Hyper-V and Docker.
  • Proven expertise in roles including System Administrator or Network Administrator.
  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity protocols, including intrusion detection systems, and skilled in data backup and recovery methods.
  • Comprehensive proficiency in various operating systems and computing environments.
  • Adept in database management, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and consistent patch updates.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to tackle intricate challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse teams.
