Explore the Latest Updates for CData Drivers and Connectors

Q4 Driver Release

The latest CData Driver update introduces exciting new capabilities, including support for additional data sources, enhanced features for query results and file uploads, and expanded functionality for specific data connectors like Sage Intacct and Workday. These advancements make it easier than ever for organizations to seamlessly connect, query, and analyze their data from various sources.

New data sources: Jira Assets, Okta, and Greenhouse

CData Drivers now offer integration with Jira Assets, Okta, and Greenhouse, expanding the range of supported platforms and enabling streamlined data connectivity for critical business applications.

  • Jira Assets: This native asset and configuration management tool in Jira Service Management allows users to link assets to service requests and analyze dependencies between them. With CData Drivers for Jira Assets, users can query data like ObjectSchema and ObjectType in an intuitive, tabular format, facilitating easy analysis using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Okta: A leader in identity and access management, Okta now integrates seamlessly with CData Drivers. Users can retrieve data such as Users, Groups, Apps, and Policies using SQL, empowering security and compliance teams to analyze identity data with familiar tools.
  • Greenhouse: With CData Drivers for Greenhouse, businesses can query recruitment data, including Applications, Candidates, and Jobs. This integration makes it simple to track recruitment metrics and generate actionable insights using tools like Excel or enterprise BI platforms.

General enhancements: smarter query results and improved file uploads

CData continues to innovate with updates that improve efficiency and usability across its platform. Two significant enhancements include the inclusion of SaaS UI URLs in query results and improved support for large file uploads.

  • SaaS UI URLs in query results: Query results in CData Drivers for platforms like HubSpot, DocuSign, Monday, and Asana now include links to corresponding records in the SaaS UI. This eliminates the need to manually locate records, allowing users to jump directly to the desired item with a single click, saving time and reducing friction in analytics workflows.
  • Enhanced file uploads: File upload operations now support streaming for large attachments, improving performance and preventing memory issues. Drivers for platforms like Confluence, BigQuery, Asana, and Xero now handle large files seamlessly, enabling more efficient data processing.

Data source improvements: New capabilities and API updates

The latest release includes tailored enhancements for Sage Intacct and Workday connectors, delivering powerful new features alongside standard API updates to meet the evolving needs of enterprise users.

  • Sage Intacct write operations for embedded Web Services: CData Drivers for Sage Intacct now allow write operations using embedded Web Services credentials with Basic authentication. This update simplifies setup and extends functionality, making it easier for users to create and modify data without needing to procure separate credentials.
  • Workday WQL pass-through: Workday Drivers now support querying Workday Reports via the new CreateWQLSchema stored procedure. This feature lets users execute Workday Query Language (WQL) tasks with improved performance, enabling faster access to critical report data while maintaining high query accuracy.
  • Key functional updates across a variety of other data sources, including:
    • Improved search performance and filtering in HubSpot
    • Support in QuickBooks Online for Balance Sheet Detail reports and Note attachments
    • Support in Jira for permission schemes, including assignment
    • New user and conversation functionality in Slack, including the ability to remove users from conversations and share "me messages" as well as more information on User and Team profiles
    • Support for keycloak authentication with Snowflake
    • Support for start and end date filters in Google Analytics
    • Support for retrieving the structure of complex aggregate columns in SAP Gateway
    • Support for Service Account authentication with delegation to Google sources
    • Improved discovery of BAPI procedure functionality in SAP
  • API version updates: Implemented major API release updates for Salesforce, Tableau CRM, Workday, Google Ads, Google Ads Manager, Acumatica, Facebook Ads, Facebook, Kafka, Instagram, and Yahoo Ads API

With these updates, CData continues to deliver on its mission of simplifying data connectivity and empowering organizations to make the most of their data. Whether through expanded driver support, user-friendly enhancements, or deeper integration with popular platforms, these innovations are designed to help businesses unlock the full potential of their data ecosystems.
