Announcing the CData DBAmp Q3 2024 Release

The CData DBAmp Q3 2024 release brings significant improvements and new functionalities to our Salesforce integration offerings, and we're excited to share! Instructions for upgrading to the latest release can be found here.

Here’s a breakdown of the key features:

System table enhancements

  • SF_SysSFPicklistTable: Automates the querying of picklist values within Salesforce, replacing the need for complex queries and manual retrieval methods. This table provides a straightforward method for accessing active and default picklist values linked to specific objects and fields.
  • SF_SysSFFieldsTable: Addresses the limitations of the SF_CreateSysViews stored procedure, enabling users to fetch comprehensive fields information without encountering batch limit errors.
  • SF_SysSFObjectsTable: Serves as an alternative when the standard _Objects view is insufficient due to large entity definitions in Salesforce. This stored procedure generates a detailed view, accommodating environments with extensive customizations.

Merging and data handling

  • SF_Merge: Offers an efficient approach to consolidating multiple Salesforce records into a master record, streamlining data management practices for Accounts, Leads, Contacts, and Individuals.

Security and data transfer

  • Advanced SSL configurations: New registry settings allow for precise control over SSL protocols and cipher suites, catering to specific security requirements of organizations.

Handling large binary data

  • Enhancements to SF_Replicate: Increased capacity for replicating larger binary data elements, specifically improving the handling of Salesforce's ContentVersion table.

Schema handling in SF_Refresh

  • Intelligent error handling: Modifications to SF_Refresh accommodate schema changes more dynamically, proposing a reset of the schema cache post-replication to avoid prolonged data service disruptions.

End-of-life reminder

  • Important update: Support for CData DBAmp versions prior to v22 will end on December 31, 2024. Ensure you upgrade to maintain access to our latest features and support.
