Sales Development Manager

Our sales team at CData is expanding and initiating an SDR (Sales Development Representative) program marks the next phase in our growth trajectory. We're seeking a results-driven individual capable of spearheading the creation of our SDR program from inception, with ambitions to cultivate a dynamic team in the coming months. This role demands someone who is willing to both lead and participate actively in the sales process, with a team-oriented mindset and desire to help others succeed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify key stakeholders within target accounts using various outreach methods (cold calling, emailing, social media engagement, etc.).
  • Articulate our organization’s value proposition to diverse personas, adept at translating complex technical concepts for simpler and more productive conversations.
  • Coach and train SDRs in operational best practices, while providing strategic direction to the team and relaying feedback to the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Customize messaging for different buyer personas, industries, and pain points to increase relevance and engagement.
  • Coordinate with marketing to leverage content assets such as whitepapers, case studies, and blog posts in outbound prospecting campaigns.
  • Monitor, manage, and analyze SDR team activities to furnish actionable insights to the broader sales organization.
  • Engage with our existing customer base to enhance spending and pinpoint new opportunities aligned with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Drive the establishment and scaling of our SDR process over the next 3-6 months, starting from scratch.
  • Identify strategies to optimize productivity using tools such as Groove, Clari, Salesforce, LinkedIn, among others.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS from accredited university or equivalent business experience in Business Administration, Marketing, or other relevant field
  • 2+ years of demonstrated SDR experience, preferably within the B2B SaaS industry, as well as 1-3 years of team leadership or management experience.
  • A penchant for thriving in challenging environments, fueled by a competitive spirit and a results-oriented approach.
  • Deep-seated enthusiasm for prospecting and adhering to sales best practices.
  • Exceptional project, time, and self-management skills.
  • Proficiency in handling objections effectively.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, coupled with an energetic phone demeanor and keen listening abilities.
