Use CData Connect Cloud to gain access to live SAP Business One data from your Google Sheets.

Google Sheets is a from, web-based spreadsheet program. When paired with CData Connect Cloud, you can instantly access SAP Business One data from within Google Sheets for data analysis, collaborations, calculations, and more. This article shows how to connect to SAP Business One in your Connect Cloud instance and access live SAP Business One data in Google Sheets.

Connect to SAP Business One in Connect Cloud

CData Connect Cloud uses a straightforward, point-and-click interface to connect to data sources.

  1. Log into Connect Cloud, click Connections and click Add Connection
  2. Select "SAP Business One" from the Add Connection panel
  3. Enter the necessary authentication properties to connect to SAP Business One.

    To authenticate to SAP Business One you must provide the Userand Passwordproperties.

    To connect to data, specify Url. This is your SAP Business One Service Layer root URL.

  4. Click Create & Test
  5. Navigate to the Permissions tab in the Add SAP Business One Connection page and update the User-based permissions.

With the connection configured, you are ready to connect to SAP Business One data from Google Sheets.

Access Live SAP Business One Data in Google Sheets

The steps below outline connecting to CData Connect Cloud from Google Sheets to access live SAP Business One data.

  1. Log into Google Sheets, create a new sheet (or open an existing one).
  2. Click Add-ons and click Get Add-ons (if you have already installed the Add-on, jump to step 5).
  3. Seerch for CData Connect Cloud Add-On and install the Add-on.
  4. Authorize the Add-On.
  5. Back in Google Sheets, click Add-ons and open the CData Connect Cloud Add-On.
  6. In the Add-On panel, click Authorize to authenticate with your CData Connect Cloud instance
  7. In the CData Connect Cloud panel in Google Sheets, click Import
  8. Choose a Connection (e.g. SAPBusinessOne1), Table (e.g. Orders, and Columns to import
  9. Optionally add Filters, Sorting, and a Limit
  10. Click Execute to import the data
